A summer of tennis for all ages and abilities is on offer at Barry Athletic Tennis Club.

From coaching sessions for children to 'rusty rackets' sessions for those wanting to either give tennis a go or start playing again, to regular players.

The club wants to make it as easy as possible to enjoy a socially distant-friendly sport, including half-price Club membership for the rest of the year.

Adopting guidelines by Tennis Wales, the ruling body for tennis in Wales, the Club works to ensure safety is paramount.

The weekly 'Rusty Racket' sessions run 6-8pm for four weeks. They are suited to adults of all levels. You may be a beginner stepping on court for the first time, a 'rusty racket' having not played in a while, or a club regular coming along to buddy up with our new members and meet others.

Activities include warm-ups, coaching drills and social matchplay. You can either bring your own racket or use one provided by the coaching team.

Places can be booked weekly via our online booking system with sessions costing £8 per week for visitors and free for Club members.

Coaching sessions are also all available on Sundays for adults and all ages of children from 4 years upwards. Booking for the Club's Summer programme of junior coaching is now live and available to book online, with member discounts. Kids Camps run every Wednesday 10am-1pm for the first 3 weeks of the holidays. Sessions are for ages six to eleven years old. It includes coaching, games and competitions suitable for both newcomers and regular players. Becoming a member at Barry Athletic Club and you can enjoy
  • Unlimited court use
  • Clubhouse access & car parking permit for adults
  • Senior club nights (Mondays & Thursdays)
  • Wimbledon ballot eligibility

One-to-one coaching, from eight years through to adults is also available with the Club's professional coaches, including bilingual classes.
