Barry is returning to normal... events are back! Take a look at what's going on in the town in our recently revamped What's On section.

To keep you up to date with everything that is going on, we've decided to post a regular 'Event of the Week' article with details of an activity occurring in the local area.

This week, we chose a guided walk about St Baruc .

Join artist and storyteller Claire Boot on 29 June for a guided walk on Barry Island to hear the story of St Baruc, the saint who gave Barry its name.

The walk starts at the top of the steps behind the 'Witch's Hat' (this is the canopied events space above the Eastern Promenade), and ends at the Chapel of St Baruc on Friar's Road.

The guided walk will last for approximately 30 minutes and it is a 10 minute walk back to the starting point.

Have you got an event coming up in Barry? Or maybe you run a regular class?

Simply click the Nub it button on our What's On page to upload your upcoming events and reach thousands of readers!
