Just as it looked like the weather might take a turn for the better, the Met Office has announced yellow weather warnings for rain over Wednesday and Thursday in Barry and around Wales.

This follows Storm Ciara and Storm Dennis over the past fortnight.

Rain arriving Wednesday morning may become persistent, and possibly heavy, before clearing later on Thursday.

What to expect:

• There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.

• Should flooding occur, there is a chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.

• Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures. Heavy rain is expected throughout Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Flooding over the weekend has lead to disruption in travel and outdoor events in Barry.
