Holton Road will be closed from 10.30 am - 12.30 pm on Saturday, January 18 for the farewell parade of HMS Cambria.

The succession will be beginning on King Square at 11.30 am.

HMS CAMBRIA will march through Barry as a symbol of gratitude to the Vale of Glamorgan on Saturday before their exciting move to new Cardiff Bay headquarters.

The Ceremonial Guard and Ships Company will be led by the Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines Commando Training Centre and will march from Kings Square to the Civic Offices.

HMS CAMBRIA was awarded the Freedom of the County Borough by the Vale of Glamorgan Council in April 2012.

The Freedom of the County is the highest civic honour that can be bestowed upon a military unit.

The parade will be also attended by numerous VIPs and Civic dignitaries from the region.

You can show your support for HMS CAMBRIA and the Armed Forces by attending the parade.
