Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) will be hosting The BIG Volunteering Fayre on Thursday 23rd January 2020 from 10 am – 2.00 pm at Barry Memorial Hall. The BIG Volunteering Fayre is an ideal opportunity to showcase your charity and community group to promote your volunteering opportunities. The BIG Volunteering Fayre will have a wealth of prospective volunteers in attendance so with limited spaces book today! Wales Air Ambulance: 18 Years and Counting at Barry Yacht Club:

This evening's talk will see us finding out about the challenges that drive the success of the Wales Air Ambulance Service. Catrin Hall, WAA Community Coordinator, accompanied by Rosemary Taplin, a WAA Volunteer, will also tell us how they are gearing up to meet the demands of the 2020's. The Compass Bar will open at 7.30pm, ready for the talk to begin at 8pm. Wales Air Ambulance Charity. Heart of the Shamanic Drum at St Francis Millenium Centre:

The shamanic drum is an ancient tool of consciousness. This evening offers a beautiful opportunity to deepen your heart connection with the drum in sacred circle. No experience is necessary and there will be some drums and rattles available for you to use. If you have your own drum'rattle do bring along, bring cushions to sit on (chairs available if needed) and something to lie on for the initial Shamanic Journey to create your intention and invite what it is you most need at this time. TODAY'S SHOWINGS AT BARRY'S MEMO ARTS CENTRE: AN EVENING WITH SHANE WILLIAMS |

Presented by Ad/Lib (Cymru) and RCT Theatres| With Phyl Harries and Ieuan Rhys. Legendary Welsh rugby player Shane Williams will share the extraordinary secrets of his illustrious career when he takes to the stage for this intimate and revealing evening. Shane Williams was a Welsh rugby union player most famous for his long and successful tenure as a wing for the Ospreys and the Wales national team. In 2008, he was selected as the World Rugby Player of the Year and since his retirement from international rugby in 2012; he has worked as a presenter on S4C and as a pundit on BBC, ITV and Channel 4. He was also inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame in 2016. This is a great evening for fans of Welsh rugby and a chance to get up close and personal with Shane, as he lifts the lid on life on and off the pitch. It also includes a Q & A, session – so if you have a burning question to put to Shane, now is your chance!
