WATCH: New Doctor Who character spotted in Barry
A Doctor Who character clad in adventure attire was seen dashing across Porthkerry Park with a drone in hot pursuit this afternoon.
Timelord fanatics have told Nub News that they do not recognise the character, and that she will therefore be introduced to audiences when Season 13 is released.
With backpack, leather boots and holstered pistol, the actress sprinted for perhaps 200 metres before the crew called "cut!".
Her occasional backward glances suggest the character is being chased, not doing the chasing.
A sizeable television crew have hunkered down at the Barry park.
They join a fellow BBC crew shooting Casualty on Dyfrig Street, which was closed today and tomorrow for filming.
Nub News has previously spotted Jodie Whittaker and a weeping angel at Cold Knap Beach filming for the show.
Filming is permitted under the current Coronavirus restrictions so long as measures to reduce the risks of the virus are in place.
A representative for the BBC how they were working around the pandemic:
"Different shows all do different things, some bubble, some do close cohort, some film at a two metre distance and use green screens.
"We've just started filming for this season of Doctor Who, but we don't want to explain they whys and wherefores because it can ruin the illusion."
A resident told Nub News that the television crew security team have been turning away cars upon arrival.
Having paid between £1,000 and £2,500 to the Vale of Glamorgan Council for hiring out the facility, the crew have the right to secure the area.
It is also against current COVID-19 restrictions to make non-essential journeys by car.
