Virtual reality arcade to open on Holton Road

By Ellyn Wright 19th May 2021

A new Virtual reality arcade 'Zone 6' is set to open on Holton Road this Friday.

Zone 6 owner Victor Uzoagbara said the opening date had been "a long time coming", having been ready to launch in December but halted due to Coronavirus restrictions.

Now, he is excited to open to customers, offering a selection of virtual reality games, entertainment activities, and escape room experiences.

"Lots of people haven't tried virtual reality before," said Victor.

"You're not just playing a game; you are the game. It's very realistic.

"I also felt like this would be a great time because you can come as a group with family and friends to interact, have fun and do something a bit different."

Game themes include exploration, horror, party, sports, and detective, with prices ranging from £10-£30.

Zone 6 is suitable for children age 8 and over, and groups of up to six can play at one time.

Victor told Nub News he was excited to be opening in Barry.

"We met with a couple of landlords in Cardiff who weren't willing to try with the new technology," he said.

"So, we kept looking and we found this space on Holton Road. The landlord is great, and has been very supportive and helpful.

"The space was good as well, and Barry is such a great community to be a part of."
