With restrictions easing soon, hospitality venues and attractions around Barry are about to reopen.

Looking for something to do in our town? Here's the top five attractions in Barry according to Tripadvisor reviews.

Porthkerry Park

"An amazing park that seems to have everything" one reviewer wrote.

Visitors loved the wooden sculptures, walking routes, historic viaduct, and Mrs Marco's café.

Porthkerry is a peaceful park for all to enjoy, as there really is something for everyone.

Whitmore Bay Beach

Visitors left positive reviews of Whitmore Bay on Tripadvisor – they loved the seaside path and selection of cafés and takeaways where you can grab a coffee or fish and chips.

Some even braved a winter visit and had a good time!

Barry Island Pleasure Park

"What lovely people the Danters are! Opened the fun fair just for him because I'd explained that the other place had let my son down on his third birthday, big massive thank you to you for saving the day!" said one review.

Henry Danter has promised fun galore when his funfair reopens on Monday with new rides, but has also emphasised the Covid safety precautions that will be in place.

Amelia Trust Farm

Amelia Trust Farm is a Care Farm charity, established almost thirty years ago, that supports disadvantaged and vulnerable people with various complex needs.

The farm and its woodlands are set in 160 acres of countryside sanctuary.

Reviewers on Tripadvisor said it was a great day out for families.

Smugglers Cove

The pirate-themed minigolf course rounds off the top five attractions in Barry. Reviewers said they had fun playing at the heart of Barry Island.

They praised the strong theme, saying it kept young children and teens entertained.
