Barry attracts visitors from all over the UK, due to its links to Gavin and Stacey, Barry Island, and fantastic beaches and businesses.

While the various lockdowns throughout the pandemic have halted visits, people are still interested in what Barry has to offer.

The popular catalogue retailer was well-searched throughout the pandemic, with people ordering their items online.

Asda

Similarly, Barry's Asda Superstore was another popular search term for people in the area.

Barry residents were clearly getting into some DIY during the lockdowns this year, with the hardware shop being among the top search terms.

Searches for the popular supermarket were especially high during the first month after lockdown was announced in March last year.

Similarly, searches for Tesco reached their peak at the same time, despite being a popular search term throughout the year.

Searches for the complex of independent eateries, shops and businesses shot up in August, as the 'urban high street' opened.

Home Bargains

The shop was a popular term throughout the pandemic, especially in September and October.

Other popular search terms for Barry this year include the Vale of Glamorgan Council, the weather, houses for sale, council tax, and jobs.
