South Wales Police are appealing for information about a robbery in Portherry Park on Sunday evening.

A 22-year-old man was robbed in the area known locally as Four Fields.

He was walking from Porthkerry Park in the direction of Cwm Barry Way at around 7.45pm when he was assaulted by four males who stole his mobile phone and cash.

South Wales Police say the suspects are described as white, aged in their mid to late teens, all wearing tracksuits and face masks.

"Two were wearing medical-type face masks and two had black wraparound face masks," said SWP.

"The victim believes that there was a cyclist in the area at the time and we would ask this person to come forward.

"If you witnessed this incident or have any information which might assist please contact us quoting ref *144371."
