Deserted Fishing Equipment and Missing Man Lead to Coastguard Callout in Barry

Barry Coastguard was called on Saturday to attend to an incident at Watchtower Bay involving a missing fisherman and deserted equipment.

Barry Coastguard said: ''Today at 10.03hrs, Our team were paged to attend Watchtower bay.

''Reports came in of, unattended fishing gear, and a possible missing person who had been fishing.

''After investigation, The fisherman, who's first time it was to the area, had fallen and had injuries.

''We rang a family member and left to attend UHW. A family member arrived to collect the fishing gear.''

In an Emergency dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
