Barry's well-loved delicatessen Food For Thought has reopened today whilst adhering to strict social distancing guidelines in store for takeaway and delivery.

They shut at the end of March in line with government guidelines and have been working hard to open up for the community once again in the safest way possible.

They said: ''It was about a month ago when we had to close our doors due to COVID-19. We are happy to announce we will are reopening the shop on Monday 11th May.

''There will be a maximum of 3 customers in the shop at the same time, with boxes to stand in and 2-metre lines up the street when queuing. We will do everything to keep our customers and staff safe.

''We are really looking forward to welcoming you back into the shop. Keep safe and keep your social distance - Nathan, Sarah, Leroy and Team Deli.''

These are the details of their reopening:

- Only 3 customers in the shop at any time, only 1 member per family

- The 2-metre rule applies to staff and customers. Markers for customers will be inside and outside of the shop to ensure customer safety and social distancing guidelines

- Please pay contactless when possible. Cash will also be taken.

- A hand sanitising unit will be available at the shop door to use before you enter

- Food orders can be phoned through for pick up. You will be given an allocated time slot

- We will have a limited menu, with what stock we can get in. Also, we won't be doing specials and paninis for the time being

- Free delivery will be available with orders £20 and over only. Payment will be taken over the phone. No lunch deliveries will be taken on Saturday

- Elderly and venerable deliveries will be on a Tuesday and Saturday afternoon. Please place orders up to the day before.

- Please be patient, and kind to our staff behind the counter, on the shop floor and out on deliveries. We are going to be doing the best we can during this difficult time You can have a look at their menu here.
