The Vale of Glamorgan Council and Arts Development Service, alongside Art Central Friends, is inviting local residents to submit examples of art produced during the coronavirus lockdown to feature in an online exhibition.

With the Country stuck indoors, creativity has flourished over the last few months and the aim of this initiative is to capture and celebrate that fact.

A road closure has been put in place in Barry on Plymouth Road as heavy rain has caused the flooding of the road and adjacent play area.

South Wales Police said: ''Road closure in place at Plymouth Road Barry island, where flooding has caused several drain covers to collapse, and vehicles to break down."

Schools in Wales are set to reopen their doors on 29 June and will welcome back pupils to a 'new normal'.

Schoolwork has continued for many during lockdown and has been enhanced by online learning. Many clubs and extra-curricular activities have successfully moved onto an online platform. In Barry and Cowbridge these include French lessons with Sian-Elin Jones, or Madame Sian-El as she is known to her pupils.
