A video of a young girl asking people to be more mindful of their waste at Barry Island has gained social media attention.

Eight-year-old Anisha Kaur went for a picnic with her aunt Geeta last night, and was shocked by the amount of rubbish left on the sand.

"We just came out of lockdown, and look at all this stuff," she says.

"That's really disgusting because all the fish, sharks and whales could suffocate.

"Please remember to pick up your rubbish when you're finished.

"Look how much there is, plastic cups, beer bottles, towels. It's all in the ocean."
