A woman from the Valleys has been banned from Barry and every Asda store in the country after a shoplifting spree.

Nicole Jones, 31, of Brynglas Avenue, Pontllanfraith, stole dozens of bottles of alcohol worth more than £750 from the supermarket on Ffordd Y Mileniwm.

She pleaded guilty to three counts of theft between 24 February and 28 March at Cardiff Magistrates' Court.

Jones was granted conditional bail and told she is now excluded from Barry and must not enter any Asda store.

The defendant is due to be sentenced on 19 April at Cardiff Crown Court.
