DUE to the closure of St David's Hall for repairs, the decision has been taken tocancel Tŷ Hafan's Christmas Concert 2023.

Jenna Lewis, Director of Income Generation for Tŷ Hafan Children's Hospice, said: "We have attempted to find an alternative venue for our very popular Christmas Concert and are naturally disappointed at having to cancel one of our flagship fundraising events due to events beyond our control.

"This comes at a time when our costs are rising, along with demand for our services, making the news all the more disappointing.

"But, with just eight weeks to go until Christmas, there are all sorts of ways for people to support Tŷ Hafan this festive season – from donating to getting involved with Sing for Tŷ Hafan.

"This could include organising your own concert, holding a raffle or collection at your own carol service or hosting a sponsored sing-along.

"However you're able to support and whatever you can give, will go straight towards supporting children with life-shortening conditions and their families in Wales."

To donate or to sign up to Sing for Tŷ Hafan, visit www.tyhafan.org

The charity is also working hard to secure an alternative venue for next year's Christmas concert, working again with Treorchy Male Choir, and is also considering the possibility of an additional concert in Spring 2024 to help celebrate its 25th anniversary.

"So please keep an eye on our website and our social media feeds for more information and it goes without saying that we would like to thank all our supporters for their patience and continued support," said Jenna Lewis.

Those people with tickets for Tŷ Hafan's Christmas Concert in St David's Hall are asked to contact the venue directly for a refund.
