The Vale Foodbank is Running ''Critically Low'' on Supplies

The Vale Foodbank appealed for supplies from local residents yesterday in a social media campaign.

The Foodbank aims to provide three days' nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to the charity when they are in a crisis.

They group stated on Facebook: ''We're running critically low on tinned tomatoes, tinned fruit, jam, long life fruit juice and shampoo.

''Without these vital donations, we won't have the essentials to make up full emergency food parcels of local people in crisis.

''Please share our post and donate at one of our collection points in the Vale, including most of our major supermarkets.''
