South Wales Police are investigating a burglary in Solent Road, Barry, during the early hours of Friday 18 June.

Two vehicles were stolen - a royal blue Renault Modus Expressions and a grey Dacia Sandero.

At around 6pm the following day, the Renault was involved in a road traffic collision in Heol Tyrrell, Canton.

Two men and a woman were seen running away from the Renault.

The next day – Sunday 20 June, an elderly man kindly attended Cardiff Bay Police Station to handover property which he had found in Llandaff Fields, Cardiff.

These items have since been confirmed as missing from one of the stolen vehicles.

We would ask this man to make contact again so more information can be taken on when and where exactly the items were found.

Those with information are urged to contact South Wales Police quoting occurrence *213312.
