Police Appeal for 3 Witnesses Over Barry Morrisons Incident

We are appealing for three people who may have witnessed an incident at a supermarket in Barry to come forward.

Officers were called to the car park in Morrisons, Barry, after a blue Vauxhall Agila collided with a pedestrian on Tuesday, July 9, at around 5.15pm.

A 34-year-old man was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, for treatment.

A 63-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released under investigation.

Detectives would like to speak to the woman pictured who is believed to have witnessed two men involved in a confrontation when entering the store at around 5.10pm.

The woman who had a young child with her is described as being white, with short blonde hair and was wearing glasses, dark trousers and a white vest top with a pink flamingo on the front.

The woman spoke with a member of staff at the tobacco counter after witnessing the altercation.

Detectives would also like to speak to a man and woman who were in a black vehicle in the car park at the time of the collision.

The male witness is described as being young, white and is seen to run after the suspect's car following the collision.

Officers would also like to speak to a woman who was a passenger in the black car who may have witnessed the collision.

She is described as being white with long blond hair tied up in a ponytail.

Detective Constable Steve Gunney, of Barry CID, said: "I would urge these three witnesses to get in contact with us as we believe they may hold vital information to assist this investigation.
