Police Appeal After Attempted Robbery in Morrison's Barry

Detectives in Barry are appealing for information or witnesses following an attempted robbery in the car park of Morrisons supermarket.

The victim was packing shopping into his car near to the steps towards Millennium Bridge at approximately 3.30 pm - 3.45 pm on Wednesday, May 27th, when he was approached from behind.

He turned to find two men, who demanded his wallet. The victim refused and hit one of the assailants before they made off.

The first suspect is described as being around 5ft 10in, of slim build, with brown, greasy hair. He spoke with a local accent and appeared to be under the influence of drink or drugs. He was wearing an electric blue zip-up sports top, light blue jeans and dark trainers.

The second suspect is described as being of chubbier build and may have had a ginger shaved head.

Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious around the time of the incident, or who believes they may know the identity of the suspects, is asked to contact 101, quoting occurrence 2000184277.
