The items stolen from the red and blue fishing boats moored at Barry's Old Harbour have been returned after a successful social media campaign.

Lauren Wicks had appealed to the followers of the Facebook page Beautiful Barry for their help in locating her items.

She updated readers on social media and said: "The fishing equipment has been returned. Thank you to every one of you for your support. I now have all my items returned by the power of Facebook.

"One of the boy's mum came forward to say it was her son, which is a very commendable thing to do.

"She came with the boys to return the items. I can't fault them and any of you enough we really appreciate your help. Thank you."
