The organisers behind Glastonbarry have announced that they hope that the festival will still be able to go ahead as planned.

They announced today: ''We appreciate that many people have concerns over Covid-19 and its ramifications regarding our events.

''For that reason, we wanted to let you know what our plans are at the current time.

''GlastonBARRY is still 17 weeks away and we are continuing to plan for the event to take place as scheduled.

''We are keeping a daily watching brief on the situation and will be taking all appropriate official guidance into account in all future decisions.

''We will keep communicating with you all in the meantime.

''Stay safe and all the very best - Mack Events.''

The popular local tribute band event is due to take place from the 25th-26th of July 2020.
