Further Changes to Recycling Announced for Barry in 2020

Over the next two years the Vale of Glamorgan Council will be making further changes to recycling.
In a flyer sent out to rural areas in the Vale the new changes and the dates of those changes were outlined.
What are the changes?
- Residents will be asked to separate their recycling in 2020.
- Recycling containers will be provided for card, paper, glass, cans and plastic.
- Food and garden waste collections will continue as normal and can be placed in your existing green bags and caddies.
- Rural Vale: October 2019
- Barry: Spring 2020
- Penarth, Sully and surrounding areas: Summer 2020
The changes are being made to improve the quality of materials beign collected for recycling which is better foe the environment and will help Wales recycle more.
