Environmental Question Time for Local Election Candidates

Local News by The Editor 18th Nov 2019

All of the Vale of Glamorgan constituency parliamentary candidates have been invited to take part in a "Nature and the Environment Question Time" where members of the public can have the opportunity to question them on environmental issues.

The event is being organised by Barry Action for Nature and is supported by a number of different conservation groups based in Barry.

So far, Labour's Belinda Loveluck-Edwards and the Green Party's Anthony Slaughter have confirmed their attendance.

Barry Action for Natures Chairman, Rob Curtis, told the press:

"Slowly but surely our politicians are starting to wake up to the environmental and wildlife crises facing our nation and the wider world. ''Scientific report after scientific report has been warning us for decades about the perilous state of our natural world. ''Now it's your opportunity to question our local parliamentary candidates about what they are doing or intending to do to help protect our environment.'' Vale of Glamorgan residents are invited to our "Nature and the Environment Question Time" being held on Thursday 5th December at the All Saints Church Hall, Park Road, Barry starting at 6:30pm. The event is free but numbers will be restricted. Residents are encouraged to come along and have their say.
