A pod of dolphins was spotted on the coast at Aberthaw yesterday.

The National Police Air Service posted the images to Twitter.

The Tweet read: "And finally for now, a pod of dolphins on the South Wales coast at #Aberthaw.

"The images are a bit blurred as neither we, nor they, could stay still.

"Posting them anyway as I haven't seen them this far up the #Bristol Channel before. At least one calf alongside an adult."

The NPAS emphasised the need for leisure and water sports users to keep a respectable distance from the animals.
