The Vale of Glamorgan Council has announced that they will relax the two black bag limit for residents during the coronavirus pandemic but they still encourage people to try and recycle as much as possible.

They said: ''We're asking residents to try and stick to the two black bag limit where possible by continuing to recycle.

''If you are struggling with the two black bag limit, we are temporarily increasing the limit to four.''

Unsure if something can be recycled, use their handy A to Z recycling search.

They are also suspending their free wood chippings service until further notice.

Garden waste will be suspended from the 23rd of March due to staff shortages - Where possible the council are asking residents to home compost garden waste or take to one of the Vale recycling centres.

Currently, waste and recycling collection is normal.
