Barry At War Museum (BAWM) at Barry Island station will suspend all events and operations until further basis in line with public advice over coronavirus.

They said: ''Following due and careful consideration the BAWM committee has taken the decision to suspend all operations on a temporary basis, until further notice.

''This is in line with the policy adopted by other public venues which may be frequented by vulnerable members of the community, such as care homes.

''As our mission statement details BAWM exists to serve the community, and it is felt in that current climate we have a duty of care to the welfare of the community.

''For us to maintain normal operations may compromise that duty.

''Therefore all currently advertised events, including talks and group visits have been suspended. We will, of course, communicate further when / if the situation changes.

''We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.''
