Throughout July, the Art in the Vale exhibition will be held at Art Central, the Vale of Glamorgan Council's renowned art gallery.

It boasts a range of over 20 local artists' work.

Cabinet Member for Leisure, Arts and Culture, Cllr Kathryn McCaffer attended the opening, alongside some 60 guests, including the artists whose work was being shown.

"We have an incredible community of artists and crafters in the Vale. This exhibition is a superb opportunity to celebrate the creativity, skills, experience and expertise of the artists." said Cllr McCaffer.

The exhibition features work of a variety of media, from artists across the Vale.

Many pieces showcase much loved areas of the Vale, both past and present. The work has been hailed as showing great emotion, humour and dramatics.

The previous week, guests from the Vale's Twinned Towns in Germany, Belgium and France were treated to a preview of the exhibition.

The exhibition is open until Saturday August 03, at Art Central Gallery, King Square, Barry. If you'd like more information, contact the below.
