The Football Association of Wales has today released the following statement on the postponement of matches affecting Barry Town AFC.

The Cymru Premier, Cymru North and Cymru South and the Welsh Premier Women's League will be suspended in accordance with these guidelines.

Barry Town United said: ''Following a statement from the FAW confirming the suspension of all domestic football in Wales until April 4 due to the outbreak of COVID-19, our next three fixtures against Bala Town (H), Connah's Quay Nomads (A) and Newtown (H) have all been postponed.''

The FAW has outlined that the International Challenge Match between Wales 'C' and England 'C' scheduled for March 24th 2020 has also been postponed.

Their statement said "The Football Association of Wales has today (13 March) taken the decision to suspend domestic football at all levels in Wales with immediate effect until 4 April due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

"The intention at this time will be to resume the football schedule depending on the medical advice and conditions from the relevant authorities at that time.

"The FAW is fully aware of the impact this will have on the domestic game but the health and safety of all fans, players, volunteers and stakeholders are of paramount importance.

"The FAW will continue to monitor this situation on a day-by-day basis and will continue to provide updates when appropriate."
