Barry's coastguard team were tasked to a call out this morning to investigate an a possible object of concern in the water at Cold Knap.

They met with the first informant at the scene who directed them to the location.

The coastguard said: "Luckily it was a large log and no persons in difficulty this time, and we stood down.

"It was deemed a false alarm with good intent."
