The South Wales police department seized a significant amount of the ecstasy based drug, 'Donkey Kong', from an individual's home in Barry.

A 20-year-old man from Barry has been charged in connection with the tablets, a sample of which have been tested at a forensic laboratory.

Michael Iannucci was arrested at his home address in Barry and has been charged with possession with intent to supply MDMA (Ecstasy) and Acquire/Use/Possess criminal property.

He was due to appear before Cardiff Magistrates' Court on Saturday, April 27th.

The drug, which is being linked to the death of 13 year old Carson Price in Ystrad Mynach, has raised concerns in the community. Gwent Police issued a public statement that says, "our advice to all members of the public who may currently have this drug in their possession, is to not take it''.

South Wales Police said, ''as always, we remind everyone of the devastating consequences that drugs can have and would ask parents to speak to their children.''

If anyone has information about the supply of illegal drugs in South Wales, please contact your local police by calling 101 or in an emergency, dial 999.
