Philip Price and his children Vincent, four, and Allessia, one aren't afraid of no ghosts.

The Barry family have been fundraising for Mae Glas Cets and Cardiff Dog's Home with their newly acquired Ecto-1, by offering special Ghostbusters visits around the town.

Phil said he "couldn't believe it" when he found the iconic car for sale on eBay, and knew he had to buy it because the Ghostbusters film is a family favourite.

"It was getting a lot of a lot of attention when we drove around," said Phil.

"We were having a great time, and I thought rather than driving around aimlessly let's make it into a good cause.

"We'd recently had to put our dog Lucy down, so we thought of doing charity drive-bys and any money made will go towards treats for the vets to say thank you, as they were so great to us.

"We were having a lot of fun, and could tell people loved it. The reaction is amazing, people shout and wave," he said.

Phil receives bookings and confirms a timeslot, before heading out in the Ecto-1, dressed up in full Ghostbusting attire.

With the music playing, they arrive at the 'haunted' spot and Phil jumps out asking if anyone has seen Slimer, before taking photos with everyone.

"The youngsters love it," said Phil.

"You can just see people's faces lighting up.

"It's a nice feeling, and gives us an excuse to get out and about, of course doing it safely by socially-distancing."

The fundraising has gone so well that Phil and his family have already raised their initial £200 target – but there are no plans to stop.

"People are still requesting us," said Phil.

"Rather than switch off and disappear, we've got more lined up!"

You'll have to keep an eye out for Phil, Vincent and Allessia as they whiz around Barry tackling any paranormal activity.
