The Vale Council has announced that the roll-out of the waste collection changes scheduled for Barry in the spring of 2020 has been postponed.

The council document said: ''This is due to the new vehicle deliveries being delayed but also recognises the many current challenges faced by families at this difficult time.

''It is anticipated that this will now take place later in the year.''

The waste changes include the separation of rubbish into six separate containers.

This has already started up in rural areas of the Vale of Glamorgan and was due to come into fruition in Barry and other areas between now and 2021.

These rearrangements were detailed in a General Information Report intended to outline the Council's approach since 23 March

and provides a summary of the key issues that they have faced. You can view the details of the changes here.
