Do you recognise this ring, which detectives suspect may be stolen?

A burglary victim came across the distinctive item after discovering her home in Cambridge Street, Barry, had been ransacked.

The victim originally thought items of her own jewellery had been stolen, before later finding her possessions discarded under a bedsheet, suggesting that the burglar may have been disturbed and left in a hurry.

This distinctive ring, which does not belong to the victim, was found during the clear-up and officers suspect it may have been stolen during a separate break-in.

Officers are continuing to investigate the Cambridge Street burglary, which occurred between 11 am and 4 pm on Tuesday, August 4, and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area around those times.

Anyone who recognises the ring, or who has information which could assist, is also asked to come forward.

Please contact 101, quoting reference 2000280222.
