Police Appeal After Suspected Arson Attack on Two Homes in Barry

Detectives in Barry are appealing for information and potential witnesses following a suspected arson attack which affected two neighbouring homes.

They said: ''We were called to assist South Wales Fire and Rescue at Clos Tear shortly after 3 am today after a resident reported a fire affecting the rear of two properties.

"The fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately, caused damage to the fencing and gardens, as well as to the doors to the houses.

"Fortunately, no-one was injured during the incident."

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area in the early hours of today, particularly around the time of the incident, to come forward.

They'd also like to hear from anyone in the area who has CCTV or dashcam footage which may assist the investigation.
