Barry's Big Butterfly Count
Adjacent the entrance of Barry Cemetery
UNTIL Saturday 24th July
Barry Action for Nature need volunteers to take part in the Big Butterfly Count. They are hoping to cover all the parks and green open spaces throughout Barry.
Butterflies are an indicator species and as such this citizen science can supply both conservationists and decision makers with warnings about the health of our environment.
Volunteers are asked to meet adjacent the entrance of Barry Cemetery off Barry Road at 10:30am.
Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather and bring a hat and sun protection. Water and a snack would also be sensible.
They are also asked to bring any butterfly guides they may have. The surveys should not take more than 90 minutes altogether.
