Dyfrig Street at the Redbrink Crescent junction has been closed for BBC filming for the next two days.

The closure is in place from 8am this morning until 6.30pm tomorrow evening, with filming taking place between these hours.

The BBC has previously filmed around Barry and Barry Island for Doctor Who: Jodie Whittaker and a weeping angel were spotted at Cold Knap Beach last month filming for the show.

Filming is permitted under the current Coronavirus restrictions so long as measures to reduce the risks of the virus are in place.

A representive for the BBC how they were working around the pandemic:

"Different shows all do different things, some bubble, some do close cohort, some film at a two metre distance and use green screens.

"We've just started filming for this season of Doctor Who, but we don't want to explain they whys and wherefores because it can ruin the illusion."
