TODAY'S BARRY AREA EVENTS:

I Do Like Monday's at Wetherspoon's:

Anyone who likes what they do. Instead of getting the Monday morning blues you get the Monday morning highs. Your least favourite pop tune should be I don't like Mondays. We meet every Monday of course. Get there between 7 pm and 7.30 pm. It's 100% free and always will be. Wear something red. When you see someone in red say Hello! If you want to attend you have to reserve your free ticket for every attendee at EventBrite. Quiz Night at The Six Bells:

Come and join us for our monthly pub quiz. This Monday's quiz will include a round of the old pictures of Barry (there's some cracker in there!) and a round of London musicals! Invite your friends and see if you can top the leader board! Cash prizes to be won! Free curry and chips at half time. We start at 8 pm!

Ease into Exercise with Chelle at Gibbonsdown Children's Centre:

Ok, so what is this class about? I created it because I wanted to provide a class for those who maybe would feel intimidated in a large leisure centre class in a Lycra-clad mirrored environment. For those who may be used to train but haven't for a while but feel they want to get back into fitness. My class is small, friendly, non-judgemental and fun. You work at your own pace under my guidance. It costs £5 per session with no pre-booking required. 7 pm. Chair Piloga at St David Methodist Church:

Chair Piloga suitable for anyone, any age and gender. 9:45 am.

TODAY'S SHOWINGS AT BARRY'S MEMO ARTS CENTRE: LITTLE WOMEN (U):

Writer-director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) has crafted a Little Women that draws on both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott, and unfolds as the author's alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life.

In Gerwig's take, the beloved story of the March sisters – four young women each determined to live life on her own terms – is both timeless and timely.

Portraying Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth March, the film stars Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, with Timothee Chalamet as their neighbour Laurie, Laura Dern as Marmee, and Meryl Streep as Aunt March.

Running time: 135 mins

Showings: Monday 3rd Feb 5:30 pm

Tickets: £7, £5 concession, £4 U16 in advance (additional 0.50p on the door)
