August Bank Holiday is almost here and with it comes a run down of the weather from Nub News.

The Met Office predicts that Saturday will be the hottest day in Barry, reaching temperatures of 26C, perfect for any weekend activities.

Today (Aug 23) will remain sunny and dry with temperatures increasing as the afternoon goes on. The maximum temperature for today is 23C.

Tonight will be a clear and dry night, with only a few mist patches just before dawn.

There will be plenty of sunshine throughout the day. It will be very warm everywhere and any cloud will stay very high in the sky. Maximum temperature 28C.

The Met Office forecasts that it will stay mostly fine and bright over the coming days, though probably cloudier and less warm than on Saturday.

Sunday will reach temperatures of 20C to keep the bank holiday going.

There are lots of events and activities going on in and around Barry and it is the perfect time to take advantage of the beaches.

The open air cinema by the sea is likely to be very popular. You can catch these two films on the beach side location of Barry Island Gardens.

Saturday Evening - Bohemian Rhapsody (12A)

Sunday Evening - The Greatest Showman (PG)

The free showings start at around at 8.30pm each night and it is recommended that people turn up early to get a good spot.

Bring a picnic, blanket or low back chair and enjoy the show.
